Sound Booth

I participated in a sound booth where I was able to develop new skills including using a light board and theatrical lights, using a sound mix board, become accustom to working with different instruments, setting up a stage, working with a band, and creating a production.

Pregnancy Center Banquet

I participated in the Pflugerville Pregnancy Center Banquet where I was able to help serve at a major event that worked to further enlighten people as well as raise money to support this outstanding organization. I was able to consider the ethical implications of my actions in that by having this banquet we were enlightening people on choosing life over abortion and showing that there is help for women in need who are entering motherhood.

Pflugerville Food Pantry

I participated in the local Pflugerville Food Pantry where I was able to handle the global issue of hunger and starvation locally by giving food to those who are less fortunate. By simply participating in a local organization I was able to engage with an issue of global importance.

Awanas

I participated in the Awanas club as a leader where I was able to work with children and develop myself as an individual. I was able to show participation and commitment in my activities by showing up every time to the club and efficiently and effectively making sure that the program ran smoothly.

Pfugerville Pregnancy Center

I was able to participate in the Pflugerville Pregnancy Center where I was able to work collaboratively with others in my community by aiding women who are not able to provide for themselves and by preparing them for motherhood.

Sound Booth Production

I led a production in a sound booth and in doing so I was able to improve my skills as a leader by planning and carrying out a presentation for others. By planning and initiating this activity I was able to improve upon my own characteristics as an individual taking action in their community.

Mowing and Mulch

I helped others by mowing and spreading mulch in the yards of a local neighborhood. I was able to help others as well as help to improve my own community. By undertaking these new challenges I improved my own work ethic while helping the community.
